| The Brendale water tower situated in Eatons Hill,
Brisbane is an existing structure erected in 1983 to serve the
local community with their water requirements. In recent years
it has been utilised as a staging terminus for the installation
of various carriers' directional antennas for their mobile telephone
networks. |

| Polytechnic International were approached to design a shroud to cover a new bank of antennas to be installed around the perimeter of the tower. At the same time, the cover was not to detract from the original appearance of the Tower. Various elements had to be considered in the design process, such as ease of installation, maintenance access and environmental impact. |

| The resulting design incorporates fixed and movable panels and is a very pleasing addition to the original structure, which was installed with a minimum of delay or antenna down time recorded. |
